Pastor Kelly's Bio

Born in a Christian home to parents Michael and Sharon Kelly in Inglewood, California, Michael B. Kelly, II had the privilege of developing a relationship with God from childhood. After completing primary school, he attended Murrieta Valley High School, where he excelled in football and track. He transferred to La Sierra Academy for his junior and senior years and upon graduating, received a track scholarship to attend Columbia Union College in Takoma Park, Maryland. It was here that Michael received the call from the Lord to enter pastoral ministry.  In response, he accepted the invitation to serve the student body as Religious Vice President for two years and then as Religious Vice President of the Adventist Inter-Collegiate Association. Following graduation in 2001 with concentrations in Theology and Family Counseling, Pastor Kelly entered Andrews University Theological Seminary where he served as Chaplain for the Black Seminary Student Association. He completed the Master of Divinity Degree in 2003.

Married to the former Tia Patrice Green, the couple has two daughters: Gihanna and Genesis.Pastor Kelly has been honored with the Martin Luther King, Jr. Trail Blazer Award for spiritual leadership and community service. The Central States SDA Conference has also publicly recognized his outstanding success in new converts through effective evangelism.

Pastor Kelly has served as assistant pastor for the Fairfax and Arlington Churches in Virginia. He has been youth pastor for three churches in Virginia, California and Michigan, and he has also been the senior pastor for the Palace of Peace Church in Colorado Springs, the Claremont Seventh-day Adventist Church in Pueblo, Colorado and the Allon Chapel Seventh-day Adventist Church in Lincoln, Nebraska and adjunct professor of the course Christian Ethics at Union College. Currently he is the Senior Pastor of the Mt. Rubidoux SDA church in Southern California.
