Dr. Alfonzo Greene, III was born in Berrien Springs, Michigan, but traded the cold and snow for the warm sun of Alabama when he went to Oakwood University in Huntsville, AL for theology. He also has an M.Div and Doctorate of Ministry from Andrews University, and strong love of sneakers. As the lead pastor of Mt. Rubidoux, his focus is on showing how glorious and incredible God is, by setting personable examples in the church community.
Over the previous decade, he was the administrative pastor for the First Seventh-day Adventist Church, as well as the pastor for The Bridge - a contemporary service designed for people of all backgrounds. He also works as an adjunct professor for Oakwood University.
Alfonzo is happily married to his high school sweetheart, Mary Okike, and over their (almost) two decades of marriage, they’ve added five beautiful children: Chimere, AJ, Ikenna, Caleb, and Shiloh.
Before Kyle became our Youth Pastor, he already has Southern California in his veins. After being born and raised here in Glendale, CA, he went to Oakwood University in Huntsville, AL, where he attended for his undergrad and graduate studies. Afterwards, he was hired locally as Youth Pastor at the First Church SDA there. In 2022, Kyle joined our Mt. Rubidoux SDA community as the Youth Pastor. His leadership experience and passion for youth ministry creates an exciting new chapter for our youth community.
From Haiti to Brooklyn to SoCal, Nyslie’s aim as our Pastor of Discipleship is to create a vibrant ministry that supports the Mt. Rubidoux community, both inside and outside the church walls. Her ministry emphasizes pastoral care, discipleship, life management and restoration.
